I have a Dell Inspiron laptop model No:P10F (N5010). I am using Ubuntus operating system on it. But I am unable to connect to the internet. Can anyone tell me any suggestions regarding how I should do that? Please tell a detailed answer. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a Desktop computer using windows XP which is connected to the internet through a cable modem. I also have a Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop with Vista which I would like to connect the internet without having to use a router( I do not have a router). Isn’t it possible to do this?
I have a Dell Inspiron laptop and I am getting to the point where I’m needing to fly with and go to places with my laptop. I have ATT DSL at home. They just sent me a modem (I have one already) and two wireless cards, but they look like paper cards. I don’t really know how exactly wireless internet works. Do I need another equipment? I currently have a Dell Inspiron 8200 from about 2002. Want something faster and more powerful for internet use, managing videos and pictures and basic home and internet use. How do the different processors compare. How much hard drive space and memory would you suggest? Would like something light weight for travel.
I just got a dell inspiron 600 laptop but can’t get onto the internet. I do have a wireless internet box, its a sbc. There are so many numbers at the bottom, i don’t know which one is the internet number. I also don’t know where i would type it in. It would be helpful to have step by step directions if you don’t mind.
