I currently have a Dell Inspiron 8200 from about 2002. Want something faster and more powerful for internet use, managing videos and pictures and basic home and internet use. How do the different processors compare. How much hard drive space and memory would you suggest? Would like something light weight for travel.
Looking for a new laptop for basic internet usage and basic home computer work. Any suggestions?

A HP or Compact Would be the faster and powerful PC
Intel Is probably the best processor
and at least 200GB hard drive and 2 or more GB of ram
If portability is a major factor, you might want to consider an Asus Eee PC. They are incredibly portable and cheap enough to be used as a second PC for the road.
